Welcome

Hi, my name is Marta. I’m very glad that you are here. Recently I started this blog to share and write about my work and passion related experiences.

For a few years, my work experience goes around Mobile Applications development and design. This includes Android and iOS platforms natively and with multiplatform frameworks as well as some backend or cloud works and integrations. As this is a very satisfying field to work with I also spend a lot of my time experimenting and learning about Machine Learning algorithms. It is something that attracts so many people because of some potentially infinite capabilities in the way it can improve and eventually change our world. It’s potential really excites people and gives a lot of hope to solve many contemporary world problems. This excitement gives an incredible acceleration to this field. Community is large, there is a lot of research as well as commercial usage.

I will also try to write about common parts of both fields: Machine Learning and Mobile. They have a lot of intersections and there are a lot of interesting correlating topics. I also hope to touch some of the deeper connections with social or philosophical meanings.

Thank you for being here! I hope you will enjoy ❤️

How to build REST API compatible with mobile and web applications

Most contemporary mobile applications have the same version accessible from the web browser. Both of them need connectivity with an external server to store the data, make them accessible, and synchronised on all user’s platforms and devices. It sounds reasonable to have just one backend for all of the platforms. It means that the app …

What is Deep Reinforcement Learning, why it was recently so loud about it and why it is currently considered the most promising method of AI

In March 2016 an algorithm created by Google’s DeepMind called AlphaGo beat a world champion Lee Sedol in a game called Go. Go is a board game with quite simple rules. In China, this game is played for over 3000 years (there are even specialized schools that train Go players). What exactly happened? Why this …
